About This Message
Are you struggling with a critical spirit? Do you find yourself constantly pointing out flaws in others, even when masked as "constructive criticism"? This week's sermon challenged me (and hopefully you!) to examine our hearts and consider the devastating impact of a critical spirit. This isn't about ignoring wrongdoing; it's about examining our own hearts first. Are we focusing on the "speck" in our brother's eye while ignoring the "plank" in our own? (Matthew 7:3-5) The sermon powerfully unpacked the difference between righteous judgment and self-righteous condemnation, highlighting the hypocrisy of using scripture to judge others while ignoring its call for self-reflection and forgiveness.
